Squad Types
Squads can be categorized into two types based on visibility and access: Public and Private.
1. Public Squads
Visibility: Visible to all users.
Joinability: Any user can request to join or automatically become a member without approval.
Membership Approval: Typically open membership without approval, though light approval can be an option.
Content Access: All members and potentially non-members can view and interact with squad content. Posting and editing may be restricted to members.
Engagement: Open to public discussions, events, and activities.
Private Squads
Visibility: Only visible to current members or users with special permissions.
Joinability: Membership by invitation or through an approval process.
Membership Approval: Invitation-only or application-based membership, requiring approval from squad leaders or existing members.
Content Access: Only members can view, post, and interact with squad content.
Engagement: Limited to private discussions, events, and activities, with restricted content sharing.
User entry conditions define how users can join squads. The available options are:
No Limit: Embrace inclusivity with the "No Limit" entry condition. Anyone interested in the topic or theme can join the group chat without restrictions, fostering an open and welcoming environment for all.
Invitation-based: Create an exclusive space by opting for an "Invitation-Based" entry. Only those who receive invitations can join the group chat, ensuring a more intimate and curated community of individuals.
Request Admin Approve: Maintain control over group membership with the "Request Admin Approve" entry condition. Users who wish to join the group must seek approval from an administrator, adding an extra layer of security and moderation.
Token Gating: Elevate entry requirements with "Token Gating." Users must fulfill specific criteria or meet certain requirements before gaining access to the group chat, ensuring that participants share common interests or qualifications.
